San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside, CA

If you follow me on Instagram I mentioned yesterday that Gerry and I were in Vista, CA and that I'd upload some pictures... Here they are!! Except today I uploaded the San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside, CA which is just a few miles west of Vista.

For some reason I could only load a maximum of 8 pictures per post. So this is what I bring you. These are taken with my iphone and with my OlloClip except where noted.

We arrived just before the Museum portion of the Mission closed. This is the view facing the main highway. They still hold Sunday services each weekend, open to the public. If you'd like to hear the church bells ring..check out my Instagram

This picture is taken without the OlloClip.

This archway looks into a secluded area and a pepper tree (at 1 o'clock) that was planted there over a hundred years ago. When you visit you'll get the full history.

I have some shots from the DSLR that I'd like to share but as I mentioned earlier I couldn't upload more than what's uploaded here, so next time.

How about you and your local area? Do you live near some historical sites? or some tourist-y area? Please share!
