So this weekend was Oceanside's IronMan event. I have so much respect for these athletes that swim, bike, and run miles, lots and lots of miles! They train, their discipline, the no excuse attitude, the fortitude, the mental strength, the body's ability to get to the finish line. It's amazing!
The weather was in the mid to lower 70s. Gorgeous day!! This portion of the run is the transition from beach side to road side.
Here is one of many cheering sections scattered throughout the city. Apparently, many of the athletes train as a team. I could hear coaches, family members, friends, and complete strangers spurring runners on! 'You can do it!' 'You look great' 'You got this' 'You almost there'
On Pacific Street facing North between Seagaze Drive and Mission Avenue
Still on Pacific Drive towards the Harbor!
Harbor bridge.
Oh. Here is what I look like..haha! I took the GoPro off the mount for this angle!
Side note: My family lineage actually consist of note-able athletes. This photo is an indication that I am not one but I am a fan of plenty!!
I took the camera off the bike so these are facing South on Pacific Street!
We stopped for a quick cool drink!
I love that the city is bike friendly!!
So that's all for today! Thanks for spending a moment with me!!
I hope that you participate in activities that make you happy and help you unwind!
