So it seems in recent times that plans were well made to bring to you specific posts about family and home decorating BUT for one reason or another has not materialized. However, the things I did NOT plan worked out just swimmingly! Such as life!
Instead I piece together the following tidbits of what I call my life....
This is my better half Gerry and my Son, Austin. This is what we looked like over a cup of iced coffee before Austin boarded flight for another international skateboarding adventure!
off to Santiago, Chile
Meanwhile, Gerry announced that he'd like to go on a meat free diet until Austin returns. My reaction...Wow! After all he is always been a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Well, I am glad to report that we've completed two days successfully.
Day 1:
Breakfast- Yogurt, Fruit, Nuts
Lunch- Tuna Sandwich, Chips
Dinner- Spaghetti Squash with Morning Star Crumbles, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Ricotta
Dessert- Ice Cream
Snacks: Cookies, Popcorn.
Day 2:
Breakfast- Gluten Free Waffle with Peanut Butter and Honey. Fruit Smoothie.
Lunch- Left Over Dinner
Dinner- Vegetable Medley Curry over a bed of rice.
On deck for Day 3:
Breakfast: Chia Pudding with Sliced Bananas and Cinammon (Below is the recipe from my Instagram account I posted several months ago)
Ok so to follow up on the home decorating thing. I found this drawer unit for a mere $6.00. It's pretty beat up. But I saw potential. It has good bones. It's made of real wood not particle board. I like the shallow drawers for craft supplies or for makeup storage. So I planned to go along with a turquoise and gold theme. I picked up some swatches and sanding paper. Then....then I started browsing on-line for some inspiration and quite frankly it seemed like everyone (at least the blogs I follow) had something VERY similar and all posted very recently. I didn't want to copycat.
I am still excited about the project--I want to do something a little different. So we'll see what direction this goes.

Even this post proved to be challenging. I wanted to include a short video I took with my phone. Started to upload it, it was interrupted during the process, never loaded and somehow deleted several paragraphs!
Life is full of surprises...twists and turns. I say don't give up! Get back up every time!
Ok. It's late. Time to go to sleep.
