Bath Fizzy Recipe - Moisturizing, Aromatic, Effervescent

Yes you can buy bath bombs but you can make it with seven ingredients, good and fresh!
You will need.
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 cup Citric Acid
2 tsp Essential oil of your choice (such as- lavender, grapefruit, etc.)
2 tsp jojoba oil
3/4 tsp water
silicone mold or soap mold or an ice cube tray.

Step 1) Add first three ingredients in large mixing bowl. Use your hands to blend all ingredients together, getting rid of any lumps.

Step 2) In a separate bowl add jojoba oil, water, and essential oil, mix.

Step 3) mix wet ingredients together with dry ingredients, until well incorporated. The 'batter' should start to clump and hold shape when you squeeze a handful. If it still falls apart, add water in small increments until you get the right consistency, be careful not to add too much water.

Step 4) Add citric acid and mix again. (Note: keep a cloth over your mouth, as it is very 'dusty' and will tickle the back of your throat but don't leave this important ingredient out- as it what makes the fizz in your bath fizzy!)

Step 5) Add 'batter' to molds being careful to pack very firmly (in layers) to each mold until you the mold is filled completely. I used the back of a spoon to pack down the batter. Make the last layer as flat as possible (this will help in preventing breaking when you unmold your work of art)

Step 6) Let sit in mold for 24hrs. I know...but it will be worth it.

Step 7) Carefully remove from molds. Ready for a relaxing bath!

They are very moisturizing, aromatic and effervescent.
Light some candles. Play some music and melt one into your bath at the end of a hard day.

And if you're not into baths....think about using smaller sized ones for a foot bath.

Its your turn - try different oils, or adding dried rose petals, or dried lavender buds. Change up the molds for your own creative spin.
